Please join us for our summer Ice Cream Social at Veteran's Acres in Crystal Lake.

Temperatures may be on the hot side, so please be prepared.

Location: Veterans’ Acres/Sterns Woods Parks, Walkup Road, Crystal Lake. The entrance and parking lot are off Walkup Road—approximately 1/4 mile north of Rt. 176 near downtown Crystal Lake.
Picnic Area: Area E; signs are posted. This picnic area is under an oak tree grove on the top of a hill overlooking the lake. This picnic area has 10 picnic table for our use. Restrooms are nearby.
Events: Ride start times will be posted closer to the event, but probably about 8:30-9:00 AM. After a 1.5-2.5 hour bike ride is concluded, we will serve ice cream around 11:00-11:30 in the picnic area.
Lunch: We have the picnic area reserved from 9-5. We want this to be fun social event for the club members. We encourage members to bring a lunch or snacks and stay as long as you want. There is a large open grassy area for anyone interested in playing games. Alcohol is not allowed.
Bike ride options: Bike routes for road and trail rides will be posted closer to the event. .
